DefendAIR®
Escape with protection against chemical, biological and nuclear agents.
In today's political climate, emergency responders, political figures
and even civilians have the possibility of encountering chemical warfare
agents. A quick and safe escape can be a matter of life or death. |
| The DefendAIR® is designed
for over 30 minutes or more of protection against toxic gases, including
nerve/blood agents and tear gas that may been countered by civilians,
law enforcement or emergency response personnel. The hood is easy and
quick (less than 10 seconds) to don, especially in an emergency
situation. Communication is clear since there are no mouth bits or nose
clips required. It can be worn with glasses or by those who have long
hair. With an integrated half mask, the wearer can breathe and speak
normally to provide life saving instructions required in emergency
situations. The hood system is designed to provide a 1000 protection
factor, effective filtering capability, and protection from CO2 buildup.
Extensive testing such as shock and vibration, package impact tests,
visor fogging tests and temperature tests ensure that the DefendAIR® is
ready to use. DefendAIR® has an integrated combination canister. The
canister's NIOSH approvedP100 filter is the appropriate media for
filtering biological, radiological and nuclear agents. Additionally, a
layer of ASZM-TEDAcarbon is included to filter gas and vapors (e.g.
chemical warfare agents). |
